It’s the last day of August and is officially the end of summer, lovelies! Our summer went crazy fast, and we are just days away from our relocating to Ireland! It’s been an amazing, busy summer, with trips to Orlando, Ireland and New York. However, autumn is my favorite season so I’m not too sad to say goodbye to long summer nights!
In the run up to moving home to Ireland, I’ve been dipping my feet in the Irish blogging community. I’m so happy to find that there is a thriving, supportive community of bloggers in Ireland, and I’m excited to join their gang! I’m sharing some of my favourite Irish blogs today, and some great posts. Toast to the end of August and the end of summer with a nice glass of something cold (Rosé anyone?) and enjoy!
When Ross from The Stented Papa was diagnosed with heart disease and had four stents inserted in his heart at just age 37, he re-evaluated his life. He packed up his job in an Irish startup to be a stay-at-home-dad to his two gorgeous girls, and hasn’t looked back. He blogs about his life with his family, his health and more. His latest series is a “He Said/She Said” with guest posts from fellow Irish bloggers – This edition had me cracking up!
I stumbled across Grace from EtainLiving on Instagram before I checked out her blog, and have been living vicariously through her ever since. A new mummy to Pearl, she blogs about beauty, fashion, mummying and life in general. She has the best taste, a gorgeous little girl and a taste for the glam life! Her post on returning to work after maternity leave hit me hard, and made me laugh. Check it out here!
Rachael from The Impending Joys of Motherhood is a fellow Mummypages Voices contributor, and blogs about parenting and life in Ireland. She has a refreshingly honest tone, and tackles some of the unspoken truths about motherhood. I really enjoyed this piece about how friendships change when you become a mother.
Confessions Of An Irish Mammy is a must read for any Irish mammy’s out there – it’s hilarious, honest and refreshing, with clever illustrations to boot. This post on The 10 Stages of a Sunny Day in Ireland gave me a giggle!
Jen from Mama-tude has 7 kids, is a brilliant blogger and freelance writer, and is about to launch her own book to boot! Talk about super-mammy! Click here to read about her book, and make sure to pick up a copy!
This post from The S-Mum hits the nail on the head with the attitude that’s often shown towards stay-at-home-mums. I grew up in a house just like hers, and have always known how much hard work being a SAHM is, but this was a reminder that we’re all working our bums off whether we’re at home with the kids, or a working parent, so be kind!
Happy Reading, folks!
